Privacy Policy

• We collect only what we need: an email address and name to run your account, your practice progress, and anonymous usage statistics.
• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not display third-party advertising.
• Card details are handled entirely by Stripe. They never touch our servers.
• Analytics is on by default. You can turn it off at any time from the cookie banner. If you do, we still count visits without cookies and in aggregate only, so nothing can identify you.

Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here is what that means in practice:

Identity and access. When you sign up, we ask for your name and email address. That is so you can sign in, and so we can send you essential account emails. If you sign up with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. Accounts are stored with Supabase.

Billing information. If you subscribe to Pro, your payment information is submitted directly to our payment processor, Stripe, and does not hit our servers. We store a record of the transaction and your subscription status for purposes of account history, invoicing, and billing support.

Your progress. We store which practice exercises and lessons you have completed, so you can pick up where you left off.

Website interactions. We collect information about your browsing activity for analytics and statistical purposes, such as which pages you visit, which features you use, your browser and device type, and which website referred you to us. How this works, and how to turn it off, is described in the Cookies section below.

Voluntary correspondence. When you email us with a question or to ask for help, we keep that correspondence, including your email address, so that we have a history of past correspondence to reference if you reach out in the future.

We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes. Analytics and product improvement run by default, and you can turn either one off at any time from the cookie banner.

We share information only where necessary to provide the Service, and we contractually require our providers to process it only according to our instructions.

Service providers. Companies that help us run the Service: Supabase (accounts and data hosting), Stripe (payment processing), PostHog (analytics), Microsoft Clarity (session replays), and Resend (transactional email).

Legal reasons. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with the law, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Formula Visualizer or its users.

Other than that, we do not share your personal data with any other party. We never sell your personal information to third parties.

Cookies. You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies at any time. You can accept or decline all optional cookies, or specific types, other than strictly necessary cookies. Turning analytics off keeps the anonymous counting described above. Turning product improvement off stops session recordings and removes their cookies. Your choice itself is saved in your browser and counted, so we can see how many people decline. Clearing your site data brings the banner back.

Email. We only send account-related emails, such as a welcome message, receipts, and subscription notices. We do not send marketing emails.

Your account. You can update your profile, manage your subscription, or delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your account data and progress.

You also have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, and object to processing where applicable. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@formulavisualizer.com.

All data is encrypted via TLS when transmitted between our servers and your browser. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text, and card details are handled by Stripe. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information, but we take reasonable measures to protect it.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide you with the Service. You can delete your account at any time, and your account data and progress are deleted when you do. Records of payments are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Anonymous analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

Formula Visualizer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as needed to reflect new practices or to comply with regulations. If we make significant changes, we will refresh the date at the top of this page and notify you by email.
